During 2012 Worldwide Partner Conference in Toronto, Canada on July 9th, report confirmed that Microsoft announced the release date of Windows 8 is on track to manufacturing in the first week of August where the hardware manufacturers include from the personal computer (PC), tablet PC and smart phones will get hold of the software first; and the general availability (GA) at the end of October.
At the conference, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said: "It "is simply the biggest deal for this company in at least 17 years," which Ballmer referred to the launch of the game-changing Windows 95 operating system. Ballmer expressed and said: "It's the glue, it's the foundation of everything Microsoft is built on."
Microsoft's previous operating system Windows 7 was released in October 2009. Despite of entering the tablet PC and portable devices late markets, Microsoft uses Windows 8 is conquer these sectors while introduced its own brand Surface Tablet few weeks ago. At the same time, Windows 8 allows users readily to store and share personal data through the "SkyDrive" cloud computing service in the midst of different devices.
Microsoft communications manager Brandon LeBlanc said Windows 8 will be available in 109 languages across 231 markets worldwide. |
