A Word from the Founder
 The Brand Image of COMPUTEX TAIPEI: 30 Years in the Making! The Taipei Computer Association has been organizing the prestigious COMPUTEX TAIPEI since 1981. And in my capacity as former chairman, I renamed it into COMPUTEX TAIPEI in 1984. As Taiwan’s ICT industry further solidified its position as a leading manufacturer of ICT hardware, the exhibition scale also kept growing at a brisk pace. As a result, it didn’t take long for COMPUTEX TAIPEI to become a major exhibition highlight of the global ICT industry. In the past 30 years, COMPUTEX TAIPEI stood for the accumulated strength and energy of Taiwan’s enormous manufacturing capability in the OEM sector, which have blossomed into globally recognizable brands images. I am looking forward to the transformation of COMPUTEX TAIPEI into the No.1 global platform for Taiwanese innovation and not only in manufacturing, but also in creating new brand images in the next 30 years. It has been a long road and the past 30 years have witnessed the growth of COMPUTEX TAIPEI’s recognition in the world and also its competitive strength among other exhibitions. I hereby wish COMPUTEX TAIPEI a happy 30th anniversary!
