Asus's next generation Nexus 7 tablet available in July

 Local sources reported that Asus will unveil its next generation Nexus 7 tablet in July. The new Nexus 7 tablet (codename K009) will still has 7-inch LCD display screen, but higher resolution with 1980 x 1200 pixels, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, supports 4G LTE technology, and higher built-in internal memory storage at 32-gigabyte. Moreover, the street price of new Nexus 7 have not yet finalize, but the first edition of Nexus 7 has price range of US$199 (for 8 Gb version) and US$249 (for 16 Gb. version). Google and Asus formed partnership to introduce first Nexus 7 last year, were declined to comment.

 In Taiwan, Asus did launched its MeMO Pad HD 7 last week, which has 7-inch 1280 x 800 pixel resolution using IPS LCD display, touch screen, powered by MediaTek processor, better front camera (1.2 M) and back camera (5.0 M) with retail price of NT$5,990 in many online websites.

 The poor performance in first half has affect Asus' shipments of tablets and notebook PCs, which the company has recently cut down its 2013 forecast of tablet's shipment to 12 million units. Asus is hoping that the combined shipments of Nexus 7 and MeMO Pad HD 7 will big contribution, eying total of 5.5 million units in the second half.
